Retreats

Retreat Group PictureRetreats are one of the most important ways that we come together as a congregation. With hectic lives, it is difficult to find time together just to relax and get acquainted, to enjoy nature, and to bring the generations together.  Every year we have two congregational retreats, typically at Camp Olmsted, a United Methodist camp in a beautiful setting at the foot of Storm King Mountain, in Cornwall on Hudson, New York.  Each year, one of our retreats is led by are ministers of music and involves much singing and celebration.  The second of our annual retreats is designed for fellowship and for service, as we do an annual service project for Camp Olmsted in support of its primary ministry serving inner-city children in the summer months.  Many of the deepest friendships among our church members have been forged at these retreats.
