Musical Ministry
Music is a central and joyful part of the life of our congregation. We are blessed with the music staff whose gifts enable them to inspire children and adults of all ages to sing to the glory of God. Asbury Crestwood UMC has an amazing choir in terms of quality literature and quality performance. The choir is non-auditioned and is open to any individual. We are a group of both trained musicians and amateurs who love to sing and learn music. Ability to read music is not required.
The Senior Choir has a repertoire that ranges from the classics to American hymnody to the spirituals and quality contemporary selections. Both choirs welcome new participants, with or without prior choral experience.
Senior Choir Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings 8:00 – 9:00 PM; Sunday 9:30AM
We have a strong children’s music program, with rehearsals and participation of the Junior Choir in Sunday worship. Children are taught gently and patiently to grow in their ability to read and perform music.
The Junior Choir rehearsals are on select Wednesday evenings 7:00-7:45 PM
Music-making 7-7:30 PM,
Snacks and fun time 7:30 -7:45
Child care provided (please let us know in advance if children will be coming).
